In a bid to aid grassroots football development in Nigeria through Nationwide League One, The board of the NLO One has concluded plans to partner with the Turkish African Group that owns the TAG Football Academy, located in Istanbul, Turkey.
This was stated in a letter signed by the Chief Operating Officer of NLO, Olushola Ogunnowo where the COO conveyed the approval of the board to the founder/CEO of Turkish African Group (TAG), Amb. Orobiyi Quadri Oluwabamise.
Nationwide board has agreed to work with TAG as strategic partners; the letter also revealed the intention of NLO one to work together in the areas of the developmental and scouting program, screening and facilitating NLO clubs that wish to visit Turkey for a football training tour.
While reacting to the letter via a release issued and signed by Amb. Orobiyi and made available to the sporting press, he thanked the board of NLO one for founding TAG worthy as a strategic partner while pledging the readiness of his outfit to work together for the betterment of grassroots football in Nigeria.
However, hinted that TAG Football Academy will soon be flagging off its operation in Istanbul, Turkey with the hope to draw aspiring players from African countries to enjoy many mouth-watering opportunities middle-east football has to offer.
Orobiyi added that TAG Football Academy will offer African candidates the opportunity to build their international profile by undergoing international professional training programs, as candidates will also get the opportunity to go for trials in Turkish leagues and other European countries.
