Lady Tee Thompson

The United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA) has named Lady Tee Thompson as one of its global ambassadors for 2020- 2021

Lady Tee Thompson will take her passion about a particular Sustainable Development Goal and leverage it to develop related programming and communications at the national level.

Throughout this yearlong fellowship, Lady Tee Thompson will work alongside UNA-USA staff and other volunteer leaders to promote the SDGs through blog posts and UNA Forum articles, attendance and representation at events, and the creation of national events.

She is now the USA-USA Global Ambassador for SDG 8, with a target of achieving higher levels of economic productivity, Promoting policies that support productive activities, Achieving full and productive employment and decent work for all people, Reducing the amount of unemployed youth, Taking measures to eradicate forced labor and promoting safe and secure working environments.

Other global ambassadors are:  Malaya Williams, Gallage Ariyaratne, Diana Daniels, Beverly Isa among others.

The Ambassadors has been designated on each SDG according to their contributions.

Lady Tee Thompson is the principal of the international organization AgroBiz and emerging Cashew Queens brand. Her calling is global advocacy for women’s self-sufficiency, African diaspora inclusion, youth & women’s’ empowerment, agricultural skill transfer, investment matchmaking for minority business enterprises, and gender equality.

Tee facilitates USA and foreign investment, cooperative and international economic development. She is a sounding voice to celebrity clientele, governmental agencies, political leaders, supplier diversity companies and non-profit organizations or NGO’s. Her work has been recognized by former U.S. President Obama for contributions toward “Doing Business in Africa” during Women’s History Month.

She has been honored and has received many prestigious national, international awards and acknowledgements for her body of work spanning across 30 years and 14 countries. Currently, she is a Fulbright Specialist, Human Trafficking Fellow, and serves as the International Chairperson for the National Women in Agriculture Association. Tee possesses a Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Legal Administration, both from the esteemed University of Detroit Mercy and resides in the metro Detroit area with her family.

UNA-USA is a movement of Americans dedicated to supporting the United Nations. With over 20,000 members (60% under the age of 26) and more than 200 chapters across the country, UNA-USA members are united in their commitment to global engagement and their belief that each of us can play a part in advancing the UN’s mission and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
